Our pick is us, and here’s why. Most WhatsApp apps for Shopify give you a way to send messages: a broadcast tool, a cart reminder, an inbox or a chat button. Then you set it up, decide what to send and write it yourself, and pay in layers for Meta’s fees, seats, flows and AI credits.

We’re built only for ecommerce, and our team sets you up and works on your first campaigns with you. You pay one price with Meta’s fees in it, Atlas plans and writes what to send, and email runs in the same flow as WhatsApp.

1. TextYess

Built only for ecommerce. Shopify connects in minutes, and orders, products, customers and consent sync on their own. Abandoned cart, post-purchase, replenishment and win-back come built, and a cart message shows the exact products someone left, with a pre-filled checkout link (WhatsApp).

A team that works with you. On a shared screen, someone from our team gets your number through Meta’s verification and display-name approval, connects your store and builds your first flows. Coming from Klaviyo, Shopify Email or Brevo, your contacts, consent, templates and key flows move at no extra cost. For the first few weeks we often draft campaigns for you to approve, much as an agency would, and when you have a question, a person answers by email, WhatsApp or phone. Dreamin*101, on the Shopify App Store: “The development team is also outstanding and always available!”

One clear price, with Meta’s fees in it. €249 a month, or €199 billed annually, with WhatsApp, 1,000 outbound messages, 1,000 Conversation Replies for the AI and your team, 1,000 free operator replies and Meta’s fees included. Site chat and the voice agent are +€100 a month each, and for email you talk to us (pricing). Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

Atlas does the work. Atlas reads your orders and customers and proposes what to send by WhatsApp and email, such as a win-back or a restock reminder, and our AI answers customer questions. Nothing goes out until you approve (marketing).

Email and WhatsApp as one channel. We run email campaigns and flows as well as WhatsApp, in the same flow: if someone ignores your email, a WhatsApp follows. Most WhatsApp apps leave email to another tool (email).

For each tool next to us in more detail, see how we compare with other tools.

The other apps, by what you need

Every app below sends WhatsApp messages. What changes is what you pay on top, how much stays with you, and who helps you.

WhatsApp campaigns and a shared inbox

Zoko gives you broadcasts to Shopify segments, and you pick the segment and write each one. Editing a pre-built flow turns it into a premium flow at $5.99 a month, the selling AI agent takes 3% of order value, and you pay Meta directly. TextYess vs Zoko

Wati is a team inbox sold to every industry. The Shopify integration is a USD 4.99 add-on, messages and AI are charged on top, and a success manager comes only on Business. Support after payment is the most repeated complaint in its recent low Shopify reviews. TextYess vs Wati

Interakt runs cart reminders and bulk campaigns from $21 a month, and every plan adds “Additional WhatsApp Conversation charges”. Its AI agents sit on the $99 Premier plan. Reviewers there say “the pre onboarding support is good up until you make the payment”. TextYess vs Interakt

Charles publishes no price. Its listing says “Additional charges may apply”, and one reviewer there describes a one-year contract with no early exit. TextYess vs Charles

Bitespeed lists cart recovery, chatbots, an inbox and AI voice calls, but no plan prices: only “Free to install. Additional charges may apply.”

An AI that answers shoppers

Zipchat is an AI chat agent priced by the reply, with “$49 for 250 replies” once you run out and Meta’s fee on your campaigns. Broadcasts are yours to plan, and reviewers on its listing report slow support for paying customers. TextYess vs Zipchat

Konvo resolves support by AI conversation, from $138 a month for 150. Campaigns are a second app from $155 for 250 contacts, with each AI session at $0.35, so both start at $293 a month. TextYess vs Konvo

Gorgias is a helpdesk billed by the ticket, and “each AI Agent interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket”. A Customer Success Manager “depends on your annual Shopify GMV”, and its pricing page lists no campaign product. TextYess vs Gorgias

DelightChat is a helpdesk that also sends WhatsApp broadcasts and cart recovery. The $29 plan stops at 500 support tickets and 2,500 marketing contacts.

Email first, with WhatsApp added

Klaviyo bills by the size of your list, counting every emailable profile “regardless of consent status” (billing help). WhatsApp needs a separate Mobile Messaging plan, and AI customer care is $700 for 1,000 resolutions a month after 50 free. On the free plan, support is 60 days of email, and hands-on help is sold as “Professional services”. TextYess vs Klaviyo

Cart messages or a chat button

WhatsApp by Meta is free to install and sends order updates and cart messages. You set up each message, and Meta bills the message fees “separately from your Shopify invoice”.

Dondy starts at $6.99 a month with manual cart recovery. Automated recovery and campaigns are $79.99, the AI chatbot $159.99, and message rates come on top.

Carthike sends cart, order, COD and review messages from $9.99 a month, plus from $0.02 a message. Each one is a message you write and set up.

Chaty puts a WhatsApp button on your store from $15 a month. It opens the chat, and every reply is your team’s.

Five questions before you choose

  • Is it built for a store? Many apps are sold to every kind of business. We only work with ecommerce brands.

  • Are Meta’s fees in the price? On most apps they come on top. Ours are included.

  • Who decides what to send? On most apps, you do. With us, Atlas proposes and you approve.

  • Does email come with it? Most WhatsApp apps leave email to another tool. We run both in the same flow.

  • Who helps you once you’ve paid? On many apps, a success manager comes with the top plan or costs extra. With us, a person from our team sets you up and support is in the plan.

FAQ

What is the best WhatsApp app for Shopify?

We are, for ecommerce brands that want the work done with them: Atlas plans your WhatsApp and email, our AI answers customers, our team sets you up and works on your campaigns with you, and Meta's fees are included in €249 a month. Most other apps cover one job, such as an inbox, cart recovery or a chat button, and leave the planning and writing to you.

Is TextYess only a WhatsApp app?

No. We're a CRM for ecommerce, and we run email campaigns and flows as well as WhatsApp, in the same flow if you want. We also work with WooCommerce and PrestaShop.

Is there a free WhatsApp app for Shopify?

Meta's own WhatsApp app is free to install and sends order updates and cart messages, but Meta bills its message fees on top. Dondy, Carthike, Chaty and Zipchat also list free plans. Every TextYess plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and a person from our team sets you up.

Do WhatsApp apps for Shopify include Meta's message fees?

Most don't: the plan covers the app, and Meta's fees or the app's own message charges come on top. Ours are included in the plan price, with 1,000 outbound messages and 1,000 Conversation Replies a month, and €0.12 per outbound message beyond that.

How does Meta charge for WhatsApp messages in 2026?

Since 1 July 2025, Meta charges per delivered template message, by category (marketing, utility or authentication) and by the recipient's country. Since 1 October 2026, each business number gets 1,000 free service messages a month before Meta charges for them, and utility messages inside an open customer service window are no longer free (Meta's pricing updates).
